Meet Marmalade

I went to pick up my new guinea-pig today She's 8 months old and her name is Marmalade. They said I could change her name if I wanted to but I think it suits her.

Amber is staying away from her a bit I'm hoping that's just because Marmalade's new. They haven't been fighting or arguing, just not sitting together.

Give them time. Have you done the introduction in a neutral space or have you just put Marmalade in Amber's cage, in which case Amber could see her as an intruder?

I introduced them in a seperate run and sat with them for about 30 minutes. They didn't fight or argue so I put them in the hutch. I've just been to check on them and they're sitting together and eating so I think they're OK now.

Marmalade is a very pretty name! x) She's really cute too, especially when she's being serious

Marmalade really suits her name, I'm sure that her and Amber will be getting on well soon.
But perhaps put them in some neutral place to make sure that they are happy with each other.

Aww Marmalade is gorgeous and I am sure her and Amber will be fine together. They need to just get used to each other and don't forget that Amber still may be missing Spiky xx
