Adult Guinea Pig
Hiya everyone. The boys have cleared the 6 week wait, so on Saturday me, my other half, Fry and Louie trundled off to Thistle Cavies, which was a roughly 300 miles round trip.
The two girls were put in a pen and then Louie was popped in to let him choose his wife to be. After about 10 minutes it was clear who he was getting on better with, so the other girl was placed in a separate pen and put Fry in with her. Unfortunately it was all too much for Fry and eventually he ended up going on the defensive and getting worked up. The decision was made to try again back at home once Fry had a chance to calm down.
So off home we went. Louie and his wife settled in just fine together. Had another go at bonding Fry with his new girlfriend on Saturday evening but after half an hour it decended into teeth chattering and lunging at each other, so we called it a night.
On Sunday afternoon we had another go at bonding them but again, it ended in teeth chattering and lunging at each other. Left it for a few hours and then tried again in the evening. After a few very nerve wracking moments, things eventually settled down and they are now quite happily together.
