I've never posted about my own pigs (too busy making cozies :))). Here are some pics I took of them at Easter.

From left to right: Minnie the Moocher (adopted from Logiebear in March), Dora the Explorer (adopted from Hels in December), Sweetie (picked up as free to a good home two years ago) Piggy Wiggin in the background

Fab pics, lovely herd. It's always great to see lots of pics, especially outdoor one's on the grass and in the sun :)

very cute pigs! love the "how many pigs can you fit in a cosy" looks like its about..4? :)) you should have shown these pigtures ages ago :(|) more pigtures in the future please :p

Those pictures are fantastic. Your piggies are great cozy models. I love the big bundle of fluff from all those piggies squeezed in together. :))

AWWW - I LOVE to see other people's herds! You have a wonderful one with lots of big characters!

I simply adore you cosy crushes! x)x)x)

They are lovely pics, I especially like the one where they are all snuggled up together!

Aaaww what lovely piggies you have x) What lucky piggies having a mummy who can make those lovely cozies too- they certainly look like they are enjoying them :))

Beautiful piggies. Also love the pic where they're all bundled into the one cozy - really made me smile! :)

Yes, these have made me LOL too! So funny all of them in the cosy.

Can these be bought from the shops then, or online? (cozies not GP's LOL). I'm so new to all of this that I didn't know they could have different bedding, just thought it was the bog standard paper and hay etc. So pleased I came across your post and thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks for your comments everyone! There are actually four piggies in the first cozy crush and three in the second (Piggy Wiggin, George and Sweetie). It looks as if there are four in the second, but that's actually because George is a fine figure of a pig!

Monkeynutz: I make these cozies and sell them in aid of guinea pig rescues. I am currently raising funds for Cavy Corner, Doncaster and have pledged to donate £500 to help the neuter a number of boars who refuse to live with other boars.

My website can be found here: www.cavycozies.com, but I welcome orders by personal message or in my thread in fundraising because it means I can offer postage discounts on multiple items.

SO CUTE! Your herd is amazing.

How many do you have altogether? (sorry if it's already been asked and I missed it)

x)... Pollie were exactly are you again *I have a pignapping booked* :))!

More pigtures in future Pollie! :)...

Hello Lisa,

I have seven altogether:

I started with Poppet, Piggy Wiggin and Treacle from Lymm GP Rescue in April 2006.

Sadly, Poppet passed away in February 2008 from suspected kidney disease. RIP little lady:

I picked up Sweetie as a 'free to a good home' piggy driving from Liverpool to Oldham to pick her up:

Three girls was not a good combination and Treacle bullied Sweetie, chasing her away from water and food. A neutered boar seemed like the ideal solution and Gorgeous George came to live with us from Freshfields rescue:

Next I picked up a female guinea pig 'free to a good home' but she turned out to be a 'he' so having one neutered male already I made the difficult decision to surrender him to Becklen (Hels) and adopted Luna (himi) and Dora (tricolor) in exchange:

I then enlarged my cage from a 5x2 to a 5x3 and when Logiebear took in 24 guinea pigs on the same day I decided to help her out by taking the only single sow. Minnie the Moocher turned out to be a very nervous and aggressive piggy: an abby-pitbull cross! She set upon all of my pigs and battled George for the position of top pig. Here they are having a bonding bath: they fought until the water was shoulder height!

I decided to ride the storm: for me there was no going back. I took advice by pm from some rescues on here and decided to put her into the cage with my herd. She was terrified: it was if she had no social skills with pigs or humans. She spent the first few days of life with the herd hiding under some hay. I have never known anything like it.

She has come on in leaps and bounds. The others still give her a wide berth, particularly at mealtimes. She was previously owned by a hobby breeder and kept in a much smaller hutch. I think she got used to fighting for everything. I am really pleased with her progress and it has been rewarding to re-introduce her to other pigs.

Also, it saved Logiebear setting up a cage for her and trying to bond her with other piggies when there was so much else to do.

your herd is gorgeous, great pics, and i never even thought of giving them egg boxes! :))

A great piggy game is to fill a cardboard eggbox full of veggies and then close it: the piggies have to chew the cardboard to get the veggies. Great entertainment all round!

Thats a great idea! -c i give them paper bags filled with hay, but never thought of that. thanks, i'll try that, we always have loads of egg boxes! xx

Aww what lovely photos and gorgeous piggys! x)

I do love the one of them all in one cosy and that salad box does look delicious! :)
