I have just posted about taking Keith back to Milhaven which was heartbreaking but the story is not finished. The risk with me even going close to Milhaven is the other piggies there....

So with Keith's cage empty (sniff) I just had to bring home 2 oldies, Pringle and Grover who were being overlooked because of their age. And to be frank they are a bit of an odd couple, bless them! Pringle is tall and large, Grover is tiny and fluffy.

Pringle tired after travelling - he is 4 yrs old

Little Grover - who has a metal pin in his leg - he is 3.5yrs but slightly old before his time and not as robust as Pringle

So who knows what the future holds but I hope they can have a nice retirement here!

Aww bless them. They're truly cute. I'm glad they will now have a home with you. I always feel bad when I see the golden oldies in rescues without homes.

I think the new oldies are wanting even more appreciation so here are a couple more

"We are still reserving judgement on our new home but we are quite impressed that they serve garden fresh stick weed feasts from time to time". P & G x

What a lovely couple - and great that they have found that loving home with you that they've been looking for!

In my expererience, older piggies are lovely to have; they know who they are, can be surprisingly naughty when happily settled and they pay you back all the tlc you give them twofold because they really appreciate it!

They're gorgeous! So lovely that you've given them a wonderful home after such a long wait. Wiebke is right, older piggies are just lovely! I rescued a 6 year old in February and she is such a character, she settled straight in with her two younger cage mates and is just an absolute sweetheart. Enjoy your new family members :)

We had the pleasure of fostering a pair of old boars, just before Christmas last year and the were the most cheeky friendly chaps you would have met. They found their retirement home and send occasional pigtures to us. Just love oldies they just know the score.. :agr:

Hope they enjoy their Golden years with you! Gorgeous

Lovely! So glad you have decided to take on an older pair. May they have many many happy years left with you. You sound like me though. Rescues are dangerous places for me too. I went to donate some stuff to the RSPCA & came home with a totally unplanned pooch adoption!

I can not tell you how glad I am that I rescued my oaps if you read the thread earning their vegetables" you'll see how well loved they are now. I won't hesitate to rescue another "golden oldie" when something happens to one of my girls.
I have to join everyone else and say how sweet they look and how many good wishes I;m sending you all xx
