I adopted 2 new piggies last week and they are settling in well apart from a few rumbles here and there and Mabel deciding she is the boss. She is a chunky girl too.

Bridget did something today that I have never seen a piggy do - she stood unaided on her hind legs looking for snacks. Has anyone else had piggy do this?

Yes my Hugo stands on his back legs in the middle of his cage!
I sometimes think he’s planning his escape and while he may have the brains to plan it, he doesn’t have the physical size to pull it off!

Congratulations! How are they settling in.

Sometimes Chesney stands on his hind legs when he's in his container for cage cleaning because he plans on jumping. He has made the escape once, so now the lid goes on. But when I take the lid off, he is on his back legs.

Welcome Mabel and Bridget!

Tessy sometimes stands on her hind legs unaided. She doesn't do it that often nowadays but still occacionally. I've never had a piggy older than six years before who was able to stand unaided.

Wow. I learn something new about piggies every week.

Mabel and Bridget have been bonded with Daphne and Russell. Russell thinks he is a very lucky boy although Mabel puts him in his place if she thinks he is getting more food than she is. There's still some rumbling going on at times and today I think Bridget is in season because he is chasing her and she is getting a bit annoyed with him but it nothing too bad.
If they stay still long enough I will post some pics soon

What beauties ,my late pickle used to stand on her hind legs begging.I called her meerkat lol.

My younger piggy Abe does it for me and nose bumps with me to get a treat (yes... trained to do it). The older one will stand at the cage wall and lean on it a bit, but also nose bumps with me for his treat too. I love these two little fur balls... And your newbies are adorable! :-)
