Hi all,

Well as the title states we have a new piggy. I went to the vets to see if Eccles' brother was still there but sadly he wasn't :( So after picking Peter up from work we went to P@H, I didn't want to buy a pig from them and I got talking to a helpful guy who worked there who said he had one in quaranteen. He wasn't unwell just allergic to woodshavings and asked did we want him. So we took a look at him and here he is...

Is he a rex or a teddy? Also, does anyone know what coat type he has? He is in with Eccles at the moment and they have bonded up to now. :)

His name is Pudsy because we got him on Children In Need night but Peter wants to call him Spencer after the first Teddy he bought me and he is like a teddy bear but Emily wants to call him Spongebon Square pants! :D

I love teddy/rex there coats are gorgeous!
sorry to hear about cuzzy!

I love your new chap - i'd call him Teddy!

lol!

Louise did think about "Teddy" but Myself and Emily wanted Spongebob, but Louise brainwashed Emily into Pudsey! I said as a compromise call him Pudsey-Spongebob squarepants?

What do you think :tickedoff:

Nice to see somone agree's with me! He really does look like spongebob, mainly because of his colour and the two front teeth >:D

He is gorgeous. I have a rex called Jimmy they are lovely piggies. Pudsey Sponge bob Sqaure Pants is a lovely name. He is so lucky to have come to live with your family.

What a lovely little mate for Eccles. :smitten:

Hehe there is no way in hell I am calling him SpongeBob! Pudsey Bob maybe! ;D I did want to call him Loxley after Robin Hood. The Kevin Costner film is one of my favs and I've seen it about 25 times...lol But then I thought about calling him Rubels after a character in one of my stories for children but he didn't suit either name!

Emma it was Pets at Home in St Helens. They had another Sheltie who had head tilt through an ear infection, the guy asked me did I want him too but I couldn't. I explained the situation and didn't want to take on a recovering pig because of what had happened with Cuzzy. He was really good about it. The problem was they are unusure if he had a stroke or if it was an ear infection. He was a sweet boy, I hope he finds a good home who can look after him. Feel bad about leaving him though.

Peter said with Pudsey's colouring it looks like we are trying to replace Cuzzy. Emily wanted a yellow and white one (that's how she described Cuzzy) so she got her wish, he has softened the blow a little.

Pudsey is 3 months old, he has been in the store for about 3 weeks. No problem with his allergy to woodshavings I'm allergic to them too, besides they will be on fleece for as long as possible.

aw he is a gorgoeus boy! i love rex piggys may fav :smitten: :smitten:

he ha such cute eyes :smitten: :smitten:

I can't believe how calm he is, he let me stroke him straight away and doesn't run away from me at all. On the pics I was in my dressing gown because he peed on me...lol I guess he had to christen me. Just checked on the pair of them and they are under one igloo. Looks like we have a good match up to now. :)

He's so cute! I like the name Pudsey. I heard that Teddys and Rexs usually have nice temperments and are really friendly, and judging by the way my Dave snuggles up to me, I think its true!

I've never had one before, always liked the rex though. Just had to take Eccles out of the cage, he is beginning to annoy Pudsey and Pudsey was teeth chattering at him for a little while. I'm sleeping on the sofa to make sure there was no fighting. I'll try them in a clean C&C tomorrow. I've put Eccles in that for now as it hasn't been cleaned today (bad mummy) so his smells are in there.

He was the same with Cuzzy, drove him up the wall with his running around. I think Pudsey is laid back and can't be doing with all that running about! :D

he is gorgeous,I do love Rex .Loving the spongebob ::)

I think you must call him Pudsy, piggy in need on children in need night, and he is allergic to shavings just like you? he my love was destined to be with you and I suspect Cuzzy had a paw in it, WONDERFUL!! another story that has made me all goosebumpy :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Awww he is adorable :smitten:
Pudsy is a great name. I have two Teddies and they are so placid like two big lumps of fuzzy fur and they love cuddles, so yes teddies/rexes are a great breed in that respect. I am so pleased he and Eccles get on :smitten: :smitten:

Aww it was definitly fate that brought us together. Pudsey is just sitting under his igloo resting I'll clean all the cages out once I've tidied up then put him and Eccles in the C&C and see how they go. Pudsey seems a big pig so don't really think the Nero 3 is suitable, I haven't weighed him as yet but he is as big as Cuzzy was.

I'll weigh him later, he seems so calm! Emily is smitten with him but she wants to blow up some balloons for Cuzzy later and send a little note to heaven, glad I got him now and not waited he seems to have helped her a lot to get over losing Cuzzy. :)

Aw bless little Emily what i lovely idea. He sounds so sweet too, really hope it goes well for them, it does sound good though :) x

He's lovely Louise! I like the name SpongeBob (my boys wanted to call Cobweb 'Spiderman') but he definitely suits Pudsey. :smitten:

I told my Nan what Emily and Peter wanted to call him she was like WHAT? I said I'd call him Bobby but thankfully he doesn't suit the name and Emily wants Pudsey! :)

He's absoulutely Beautiful Louise :smitten: :smitten:
I am so pleased that they are getting on so well.....a little match made in heaven :smitten:
How is Emily ?

Hi Sammy,

She is fine, munching on chocolate and breadsticks at the mo! She hasn't mentioned Cuzzy since this morning, I guess children get over these things quicker then us adults.

:)

I know this may sound silly but when it was home time after school yesterday ,she was all I could think of....coming home to find out about your dearest cuzzy 0:) Children never seem to amaze me...sometimes I wish I could be as strong as them.
love and cuddles to all xx

he is gorgeous louise, i would stick with Pudsey think it is a great name. He definately a Rex, my bridget is one and she is the sweetest pig ever
