Yep, I have been at it again! However, the latest piggy is a very special girl indeed, who has had a lot of bad luck lately. Not only did she lose the neutered boar she was closely bonded to before Christmas, but then one of her cataracts took very much a turn for the worse and pretty much slashed any chances of her ever finding a new home, especially as she is already two or three years old (her previous owner couldn't remember whether she was born in 2008 or 2009!) mallethead
Feisty and quite dominant Tegyd is currently settling in next to the Tribe after an enthusiastic welcome that unfortunately ended up with a bust up with Hywel. So we are taking it very slowly now. Her new Welsh name is supposed to mean "beautiful (like a) doe". It is as close as I could come to her old name of Mrs Taggy. She has been rehomed from Crawley rescue; and I am grateful for their trust in me.
With Taffy and her daughter Telyn having both congenital cataracts, too, and Hafina suffering from unsightly blocked tear ducts, I wanted to give Tegyd a shot at happiness with some understanding friends, too!
Here she is:
Exploring her pen on arrival (video clip, please click on the picture):

Hywel is ecstatic! (video clip)

Intros over a shared breakfast (sadly, it ended in a tussle with Hywel)
Exploring the living room on her own: (video clip)

Please keep your fingers crossed that it will work out in the end! Tegyd is certainly the trickiest bonding I have done so far.
