Yep, I have been at it again! However, the latest piggy is a very special girl indeed, who has had a lot of bad luck lately. Not only did she lose the neutered boar she was closely bonded to before Christmas, but then one of her cataracts took very much a turn for the worse and pretty much slashed any chances of her ever finding a new home, especially as she is already two or three years old (her previous owner couldn't remember whether she was born in 2008 or 2009!) mallethead

Feisty and quite dominant Tegyd is currently settling in next to the Tribe after an enthusiastic welcome that unfortunately ended up with a bust up with Hywel. So we are taking it very slowly now. Her new Welsh name is supposed to mean "beautiful (like a) doe". It is as close as I could come to her old name of Mrs Taggy. She has been rehomed from Crawley rescue; and I am grateful for their trust in me.

With Taffy and her daughter Telyn having both congenital cataracts, too, and Hafina suffering from unsightly blocked tear ducts, I wanted to give Tegyd a shot at happiness with some understanding friends, too!

Here she is:

Hywel is ecstatic! (video clip)

Intros over a shared breakfast (sadly, it ended in a tussle with Hywel)

Please keep your fingers crossed that it will work out in the end! Tegyd is certainly the trickiest bonding I have done so far.

Oh she is beautiful. She really has found the perfect home. Hope she manages to integrate in the end. Will watch her bonding closely, may help us with Madam Terk :))

Awww she is beautiful, I hope she settles soon (I cant say anything about someone forgetting the year of birth, I struggle to remember the kids year of birth and only remember Luckys because she was born 1 year after Shania :red )

Welcome to the Tribe you're a very lucky girl.
Hope she settles in well.
Only right to adopt another piggy, you can't have odd numbers ;) :))

I love her, I just love her. And she's certainly a brave little girl to be so interested and curious in her surroundings. It may be a tricky bonding, and take longer than others - but if anyone can do it, it's you.

Well done on giving her the chance of a lovely, happy life.

Aww Wiebke she is beautiful x) Loved the video, she is very lucky to have joined the Tribe!

she is beautiful and i think she will fit in well once she settles, cant wait to come and meet her xx

Tegyd is certainly not short of pigsonality! She is a delightful girl and I hope that those two big, dominant characters, she and Hywel can eventually find a way to coexist!

It is a pity that so many people pass up older or slightly impared piggies - they so often make up with loads of personality!

Aww she's gorgeous. Hope she settles in with the Tribe very soon.

So glad you've given her the opportunity for a happy life with all your lovely piggies.

she's really cute... so, are you now working towards a piggie rugby team? I've so totally lost countmallethead:{

We are standing at a dozen now, and that will be it - I can't have any more without changing the whole setup (which I promised hub I would NOT do), buying more carrier boxes and completely rethinking the way I serve my food (I've been cutting things into twelve bits anyway).

Tegyd is the one "special" piggy which I'd decided I would not say no to; but that is definitely it now!

We'll remind you of this quote in another few months time when you come back with another lovely lady :)):p

Aw x)

And P.S - That is Hywel? He's certainly much fatter now I couldn't even thought that was him no more!

Hywel is one big - and yes, fat - frustrated boar, no thanks to Tegyd being a perfect tease, but at least, open hostilities have been dying down.

If Tegyd is ever to live with the Tribe (which is still somewhat doubtful), it won't be for quite some time and lots of small, very closely monitored encounters.

She's gorgeous! I love her name. Does it mean anything or did you just make it up? :)

Her name is Welsh and means "beautiful (like a) doe".

All my piggies have Welsh names with a meaning that tries to suit them as much as possible.
