Thought i might share my experience of boar trios with you as well! I started with a trio of boars, had a very elderly boar named Thistle, must have been about seven at the time. He had not had a friend for some time so got him two as we were afraid he might dislike having to share his home with a noisy little invader! To our absolute joy he adored his boys. Two little babies of a similar age, about 8 weeks. He met one first and then we introduced the third a few days later. They got on brilliantly for a fair few months, he loved his babies, he was so happy to have friends again. However as the two young 'uns grew up, and their hormones began to kick in, they began to squabble for a place as second in command. they never hurt thistle, but shed blood with one another a few times so unfortunately we had to separate. since then, thistle has sadly passed away and both of the young 'uns have been assigned new partners.. pickle, the boar we added in last, is now four, and is on his third partner already because he cant seem to stay friends with anyone, the picky buggar. He has now settled with a baby of his own, Hazel, and we are hoping they have a bright future, although with the spicy attitude he is already developing i cant say i'd bet on it! Kiwi, the other baby we paired with my original boar thistle, is far more placid, and, also at four years old, has found a pal in my rescue boar Turbo.. though they do have their arguments every now and again, kiwi is undoubtedly The Boss. As a result of Pickle's previous paring, I have also acquired another boar who i have had to find a playmate for... Meaning my decision to get a trio initially has landed me with six piggies !

Although i cant say i regret it

I wish you the best of luck with your trio, and hope they get on better than my three ended up! Please keep us updated, it would be wonderful to hear of more successful boar triplets out there. My dream is to have the six of them all together.... but i think for my sanity and their safety, that dream will stay FIRMLY in my head
