Cadaverous
Junior Guinea Pig
My piggie family expanded recently. We bought Meg home late November/early December. She's a very attractive ginger-pig (we have a connection through our shared hue lol!) with a cheeky outgoing personality. She was pretty tame when we got her and she now comes to the front of her cage and demands cuddles if you happen to walk by. She will also then demand to be put back by gently but firmly nibbling your finger. Guess who's in charge in our house?!
On Christmas eve Meg spawned some Meglets (result of an accidental litter mate mating courtesy of a rather stupid breeder/seller combination) that we named Rio, Twinkle and Mistletoe. Rio and Twinkle are ginger and white boys. Twinks has red eyes and a mostly white face, whilst Rio is black eyed with a pirate stripe of white over one eye. Mistletoe is a carbon copy of Meg, a teeny weeny sassy ginger lady. We have really enjoyed getting to know them since Christmas and watching all their personalities develop.
Rio is a drama queen - he never shuts up wheeking and is the one regularly seen popcorning underneath his siblings or sending the toys sky-high in his excitement. Despite his noise is actually quite a timid piggie and always likes to know where mummy Meg is. We've been practicing being handled and fed a little bit further away from Meg from each time in the hopes that the eventually separation will be a bit easier for him. He is rather a mummy's boy at the moment!
Twinkle is another loud one, but much more adventurous than Rio. He loves being out and about and nomming his way through as much food as he can fit in his mouth (that's a lot, for the record). His favourite place to be tickled is on his sides and just behind his ears. He doesn't seem to mind where Meg is so long as he has a comfy lap and tasty nibbles.
Mistletoe (Missy for short) is quieter but much more assertive than the boys. She knows exactly what's going on and never misses a trick. Always first to the food bowl, and first to the best hiding hole if needed. Often seen trampling over the boys (or Meg) to get to food, Missy was the smallest born but has just about eclipsed both the boys in terms of weight gain. She doesn't care about anything, is comfortable being handled, fed, away from Meg, absolutely anything. She often tries to wander off exploring when she's out (into hair, over kitchen sides) and is a right madam. Going to give Meg a run for her money when she's all grown up!
Here are the little monkeys:
This is Meg, star of my avi
This is Rio and his pirate stripe

Twinkle - unfortunately, he was misidentified for the first week and called a girl
sorry Twinks. Twinkle also seems to have slightly longer fur than the other two and he likes getting all ruffled when he's cuddled
This is Missy, mistress of chaos
