I've read guinea pigs could purr but had never heard it. Miss Moo really enjoys a cheek rub and when I say enjoys I can't emphasise it enough :)) She will literally lean into your finger as you fuss her with all her weight. Now when I do it she makes the weirdest purring noise... It's definatley not the brrrrrrrr noise of displeasure :))

Megan has a whole variey of strange nosies but this one is so nice to hear. I will try and video her tonight at cleaning time to show you.

Does anyone else's piggies make happy noises when being fussed?
 
My Rosie used to purr when she was younger, when being stroked. It wasn't an unhappy burr or a rumblestrutting brrr x

Yeah, it's definately not the brrrrr or the rumble strut brrrr. I don't even think Miss Moo would know how to rumblestrut lol!

Rosie Purring must have been very cute. Hope the fungal is ok.
 
Oh bless Megan. Mrs Fuzzy does it when she has her nightly cuddle, she's turned into a bit of a mummy's girl and always has to sit on me and not the OH but then when Tim has cuddles too, he wants me aswell so one of them gets the hump. My Rosie used to purr too.

Yes I think so, the other night I was sat with Mrs F, R had Tim and we had to do a swap quick sharp as Tim was intesnt on leaping over to me. It's only these 2 thoguh, the others only tolerate cuddles apart from Terk who sticks her tongue in R's mouth so must be a Daddy's girl.

:)) Terk sounds liek a right flirt lol

Isn't it funny how some piggies love cuddles, but others only do it begrudgingly.
 
Ha ha yes she is a bit.

I know, it just shows how different they all are. Millie tries to take your arm off of you dare try to cuddle her.

And no not fully.... I can still see the monks, so not long for this world still :))
 
Aw, Miss Moo is saying you she loves you x)
Love the quaint noises they make, Benny and Phoebe always purr when we stroke their backs then Phoebe starts quivering when we hit the right spot :))
