Hi everyone
Sorry I've not been on for a while - it's difficult when I'm missing Rocket so much but I do try and keep up to date with the piggyworld via Facebook most days.
Just wanted to let anyone in the Chester and Wrexham area know about a good supplier of all things piggy. I used to go to the saddelry in Gatesheath but unfortunately they weren't terribly reliable when it came to keeping stocked up with Megazorb so when my hairdresser told me about John at Cameron James I decided to give him a try.
He bent over backwards to get Megazorb in for me and if he's ever running low he lets me know in advance with a text which is always useful. I now no longer have to buy hay cookies in bulk online ( to avoid postage charges) or from Pets@Risk because he's managed to get some of those in too.
He is building the business up whilst doing a full time job so the opening hours are a bit funny but I usually just pop in on a Tuesday evening or Saturday.
Tues: 6pm-8pm
Thurs6pm-8pm
Sat 10:30am-6pm
He also sells free range eggs the proceeds of which goes to Greyhound rescue
Anyway, he's been really helpful getting stuff for my piggies so I thought anyone else who's close by might find his store more convenient than having to get stuff from all over the place which is what I was doing before ( the only other place I get stuff from now is DustFreeHay http://www.dustfreehay.co.uk/ their hay is lovely).
Here's a quick rundown:
Cameron James Smallholder & Pet Supplies:
Small animal feeds: hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs inc bedding ( Megazorb, wood shavings etc), Burgess pellets, Beaphor beetroot crunch ( can't get my lot to eat fresh beetroot and this is the only beetroot treat they like - beetroot once a week helps prevent stones apparently), different types of hay, readigrass ( he'll get you a big bag if you want, also stocks small) I've probably forgotten stuff but my main point is that John will try his best to get what you need if he doesn't already have it and he doesn't overcharge.
Cage and wild bird feed ( whilst I tend to get most of my nuts, fat blocks and balls from Home Bargains his big bags of seed are a real bargain and work out much cheaper than anywhere else, IMO anyway)
Cat and dog food and treats
poultry feed and equipment
Smallholder supplies and feed for horses, goats, sheep and pigs
Selection of feeds sold loose or by the kilo
Address: Barton Road, Farndon, Chester
07940 856 472

Hope that's helped anyone in my area looking for a reliable supplier of megazorb etc.
