I couldn’t do anything but run away and drive home, and I sat hidden away and cried for a good few hours. My SO disappeared come to find out he had gone back up to my grandparents house to rebury him much, much deeper and pact the soil. He came and got me and we came back up, and made his grave even nicer than before and replanted some wild flowers to grow around his little plot; I also placed another rose down as the first one went missing. I can’t wait for the warm weather so I can plant wildflowers there. Luckily his carrot and hay (yes I buried him with his favourite treats,) were still with him. I’m assuming my grandpas dog dug it up, because if it was a wild animal he’d be in much worse shape or even gone. Not exactly what I wanted to see today however...
I hope you can rest easy now, Smelly; I miss you. I’ll always make sure your spot stays beautiful like your soul. ❤️

My condolences and I empathise with you. I have had two of my buried piggies dug up by foxes so now have empty graves there.

Oh gosh, that’s awful I am so sorry. I’m at least grateful a wild animal didn’t get it as I wouldn’t have been able to rebury him; I am so sorry your piggies were taken from you like that.

HUGS!

I had two of my piggies dug up by cats and carried off even though I buried one of them over a foot deep. it was each time an upsetting experience.

Now I use large flower pots and keep them covered during the critical period; once they are full, I plant them over. Alternatively you can have your piggies cremated and bury the ashes in the garden.

Oh no... I’m so sorry to hear that happened, how awful & upsetting to see. But at least Melvin has an even more beautiful resting place now & such a lovely idea for planting wild flowers. Hugs  x

I am so sorry for this :( Have a huge hug, so upsetting for you :( We always pop a slab on top of any of our furries graves when we bury them, Hope you are okay, little Melvin is at peace over the Rainbow Bridge remember that. x

Sleep well little one

I would’ve loved to put a slab over him but I want to plant flowers instead . I’ve placed a small fence around him, and he’s now much further down so hopefully that stops the dogs from getting curious again.:(
Thank you all for you kind words! :luv:
