Junior Guinea Pig
Memories of first ever piggies...
I had guineas as a child. I remember buying two from a rescue - mine was called Scruffy as he had loads of rosettes over him and my brother’s was called Flash as he had a white flash down his nose. We were merrily playing with them on the front lawn and all of a sudden Flash escaped and ran under a privet hedge. At the time we did not know piggies were so highly allergic to privet and sadly Flash died a short time after we had had him. It was SO sad! 8...
As my brother did not have a piggie we got another one and we called it Rosie. However we had another shock about a week later when she had 6 babies! They were so so cute! We called them Ginger, Kylie, Jason, Midnight and I cannot remember the other two! Sadly Midnight died as it was the runt of the litter but the other five grew up well. I kept Ginger and we gave the others away to a loving home.
Also as Scruffy was a boy he was also given away to a loving home, but I still remember what he looks like!
Rosie and Ginger were wonderful piggies... very loving and friendly.
Also my OH loves piggies! He had one called Monty who had loads of character! I think he may have photos of him, but sadly I have none of mine!
