My boyfriend is driving me nuts! I desperately want to make my piggies a C&C cage. I had one for some ferrets I use to own and it was great! My piggies cages are not big enough and I feel horrible about it. I already have all the cubes I need all I would have to buy is the coroplast. However, for some stupid reason my bf won't let me build them a cage! I'm so angry! He says it will take up to much room, or it will be messy..... :( We have the perfect spot for it, and it wouldn't be any messier then a regular cage! Sorry...I just needed to vent!
 
Have you tried the 'eye' contact thing where you give them the 'stare' ?
What about making a point of how clean you keep them now, but oh dear it's so cramped no room for them to run....
What setup have you got, let us know i'm sure we'll think of something for you :)
 
I don't live with my boyfriend (yet) but I can already forsee problems! He hates Spike (or should I say scared of him) and he's already said he won't have them in a future house together. I told him if I had to choose I'd pick Spike!
 
good on you miss piggy! you shouldnt be forced to choose your brilliant pet that he doesnt have to go near or anything or your bf
 
aaww, I really feel for you!

I feel so lucky to have my bf, he does anything i ask him too, and i believe he would walk over hot coals for me. I can't offer any advice but i wish you the best of luck in persuading your man to see sense.

You could always bring up the fact you want a c&c cage and then if he says no, tell him he's really hurt you and he needs to spend the night on the sofa lol
 
yea, guilt works! :D :D i do it with my bf all the time. i also can start the waterworks ar any time! lol

You could always start a conversation with him tonight, say..

I was doing some resaerch on the internet today and our guinea pig hutch is below the RSPCA minimum requirment *start to make your eyes water* I can't imagine what i'd do without them if the RSPCA were to take them away if they find out my cage is too small, that would just be awful *full on crying*

haha, ok probably a bit much...but if needs must lol

i know me and my dad are allways have argmeants over the guinea pigs

he is only just geting use to haveing the 4 babies here and here 9 weeks now

we anit even told him that lilly is having more babies again he will have an heart attack when he finds out
 
You should be really sneeky and just build it whiles hes out, put it up, put the piggies in the cage, and then its tough poopies really isn't it? lol
 
lol maybe i should get a pair of guinea pigs and not tell my Dad ;D that would never work and he would tell me off

I've always thought of buying myself a little mouse, but I think I would get kicked out, my dad is TERRIFIED of them haha, he hates their tales.

its my mums idea not to tell him ;D

but nywheres it wont affect him anywheres as i am the one who pays for there food cleans them out looks after them
 
just never tell him and say to him, oh what a surprise, she has had babies ;D
 
i think that the idea or tell hi ma few days before ;D

he only knows one of them names so far and i have 8 and he only knows one of them name which is ruby

Oh I hate spiders too, but I don't mind tarantulas.

House spiders creep me out! And wasps! AND BEES!
 
well if you do then i will need pictures!

Big Mama and Captain Jack each have this cage. It measures 30"W X 18"D X 16"H - 31" L x 6.25" WAY to small I know! They get a lot of floor time.

The sisters share a cage...I'm not sure of the measurements. It's long and and narrow. I would really like to build a large cube cage that they can all live in together...Jack of course will have to be separated until he gets snipped :)

Ok! I have a paln! I just called to get pricing on Coroplast. Its $23.00 for a 4ftx8ft sheet. I'm going to tell him either I'm going to build a C&C cage for $23.00 or I'm going to go buy a large cage for $150 and then I'll see what he says.

You better NOT but then again I had a little mouse and she was so sweet. Bad idea though as you know you would never clean it out another job for your poor mum. ::)
