Is a messy bottom a symptom of anything? Chez had a poopy bottom at health check today. I used a wet wipe and will check again later.

His poop is all normal. He's a year old.

He's not squeaky when peeing or pooping and he's not impacted.

He does pee on the coroplast so wondering if he sat in that?

I've got some urine dip sticks coming in the mail and he's all cleaned up

Keep an eye on it. It may just be that he sat in it and it was a one off thing but If his poops appear to be soft then remove veg and see if things normalise

I'll use the dip sticks to check for blood, too. Would he be squeaky with a UTI or not necessarily?

Yes they can be squeaky but not always
Do you suspect he is unwell with a UTI?
I was thinking more along the lines of a tummy upset if he was dirty with poop?

I'm not sure if it was urine or poop. All his poop is normal. When I wiped him there was a little color so I thought maybe poop, but now I'm thinking rust color urine. He does a mixture of calcium, clear, and rust color urine depending on what I feed him.

I will check for wetness this afternoon and if he is wet again I'll make an appointment for him.

His bottom is dry now.

Will test his urine when the dip sticks arrive.

Chez's bottom was wet again this morning. He did pee in the snuggle sack when I removed him for health check.

His urine tested negative for blood, his poop is normal, he is not hunched or squeaky when toileting, he has clear urine except an occasional milky one on calcium veg day.

He pees on the coroplast. Could he be walking in it?
