I've run out of metacam and not due back at the vets till next week . My vets is miles away that's treating my piggie teeth issue. I have a more local vet too but can I buy over the counter?
I noticed you can buy metacam off the Internet , is this safe? Reptable supplier on line?
Thanks

I don't think you'd be able to order metacam online as it is a prescription medication. My advice would be to contact your vets that you are seeing explain you have run out and get them to send a prescription through to your local vets or at least ring your local vet for you to tell them your piggies issues so they can issue some metacam.

Metacam is a prescription only drug. You can ring up your treating vets to ask them to send through a prescription for metacam to your local vets for you to pick up from them. Make sure that you you give the correct fax number and that you warn your local vets that a metacam prescription is coming through for you!

I have had to do this on occasion when I couldn't get to my specialist vet in another town. It is the quickest you can get hold of it on hopefully the same day.

You can buy it online, but have to provide prescription. Without it they won't send it to you. They do the same with de fle such as advocate. Unless you've seen it online from private person.
I would speak to my vet and ask for prescription, however they'll most likely charge for it or see if you can pop in and get more.
Good luck!
