Hi , does anyone know of a vet called michelle lawrence, she apparently locums for the croft vet .

Since l will have to wait 6 days for my vet to do the operation , i thought i would try another vet , my old vet
Michelle apparentaly dos locum work at one of the croft group of vets .
I would sooner travel to a vet that i trust, than put Popcorn's life in the hands of a vet that has no pig experience.

Hi Debie , i found a small mass in her tummy. To deep to be a fatty lump .
My own vet said they would not be able to see her untill untill tuseday to access and then opperate on thursday at the earliast
What wories me is that a great deal of the time she is fine , then she fluffs up and displays pain, l can't give her metacam as l do not know whether the lump is inside the tummy , were the pain meds may make it more uncomfortable , or out side

I bet it would be a different matter if she were a dog or cat .

At this moment she is trying to get her head into a food boll , but the efort is causing her to jump and run to the other side of the cage

I really angry at my vet, if i am not mistaken, it was his reluctance to see a poorly pig that subsequently died that started my problems off in the first place.

I am very sorry, but I haven't heard of Michelle. I sincerely hope that you can find a piggy savvy vet within your reach quickly.

To heck with it , l am going to take her in tomorow , l can't chance her experiencing pain and discomfort , and if the vet refuses to see her then so be it.
I think perhaps he is protecting the vet that l lost a pig to all those months ago , l just wish i could sort it all out in my head, l can't even remember the names of Half my pigs , :sly:

What makes it so silly is that we are always encouraging people to take there pigs to the vet if they aren't sure.

Have you had a look at our vet locator to see whether there is another decent vet within your reach?

going to have a look see at rose cottage tomorow , like all vets they say they are piggy savvy , :shh:
