Microscope Mites?

Kohako my male guinea pig is losing a lot of hair and I noticed that he scratches all over he's body a lot and I'm thinking does he has microscope mites because I tried looking but I don't see anything and is it transmitted to humans or other guinea pigs

Mites can be transmitted to other piggies but not people There are different kinds of mites - hay mites and sarcoptic mites too. I'd suggest a vet visit to be sure, especially as mites can't be seen with the naked eye! Xx

Please take your piggy to the vet for treatment.
Mites can be very painful, but thankfully they can also be easily treated with the proper products.
When Eddi had mites both the vet and I did multiple skin scrapings to check for mites, but never saw anything, however after a couple of days on the treatment he stopped scratching and was much happier.
It is important to treat all piggies in the cage at the same time.

Probabaly mange mites, but dont rule out fungus and yeast infections, best way to tell is to ask your vey do skin scrapings and send off cultures,

Hi! Mange mites are too small. Please see a vet for a proper diagnosis and treatment. Do not home treat on spec!

Please be aware that any skin parasites are species specific and do as a rule not transmit to other species as they will starve. That means that you cannot get an infestation from your guinea pig's mites and do not need any treatment yourself.
