Hey guys. So I left for Thanksgiving and had a pet sitter and while I was go e his cage kind of caved in on itself and a bag of treats fell in, and he ate some of it. The bag, that is. It's an oxbow simple rewards bag of treats and I cannot tell if it has tin foil in it. Does anybody know/ know what I should I do? I don't know how long ago it was either.

he may pass it but lf it were me l would monitor his poos for a wile (several days at least) for any change in bowel movment, and
if a subnificant change is noticed take him to a vet.

The main risk is intestinal blockage so you want to see that he's pooping to ensure that doesn't happen. If he's not pooping, see a vet ASAP. If he keeps pooping normally, he will probably pass it right on through. My vet told me to keep an eye out for 24-48 hours to ensure that all seems normal. For what it's worth, Linney once ate a huge chunk of a plastic bag that was left too close to the bars and she had no ill effects from it.

Okay, thank you guys! I will monitor him. I saw him poop once already but its possible it hasn't been long enough yet. But I will definitely monitor it! Do you know the bags I am talking about, that have that silvery lining, do you think that's metal at all?

Hi, yes l know what you mean , l dont think its metal , ! just shinny plastic
l think the the main type of plastic wrap is that stuff they wrap cucumber in
l read that stuff can get tangled around the intestine
