Midnight Has Been Licking Me

Hi everybody!
Lately midnight has been licking me! At first it was just my fingers and I thought maybe be just liked the salt on me. But now he licks me wherever he can and it seems as if he is trying to clean me. Sometimes when I'm petting him he will turn around and start licking me. It's so cute! I like to think it's a sign of affection, like a dog, but I was wondering what everybody else thought!

Is it a sign of afection ? I would say yes,
 
Only one of my piggies was a kisser - my Noodles who passed two weeks ago - now my favourite boar Bumble has started to give me piggy kisses - but it is only since Noodles hs passed - perhaps he senses that I need them.I'd like to think it's a sign of affection.
 
:D Two of my girls, Beano and Dandy, are prolific lickers! They always lick me around the mouth, and seem to like the taste of whatever I have eaten! Between them, I think they're trying to lick me to death! :lol: Bonnie sometimes licks my nose! :vom: I don't really think it is a sign of affection.
 
Awww piggies are so cute! I'm going to believe it's a sign of affection! :)
 
It is so sweet when they do this, I like to think it is a sign of affection too. :luv:
 
And why not :hug: when all said and done , licking is a form of grooming, and what is more efectionat than a pup grooming his mom :hug:
 
My boy Elvis loves to lick and try groom me. He's also very demanding when he wants to be stroked
 
I do think it's affectionate grooming behavior. Some pigs 'kiss' more than others. One of mine, Sundae, is a very kissy pig. Hadley does it too, but she is not in a class with Sundae, who will basically wash your hands for you if you let her!
 
Ohh! Isn't it the cutest? My little Kuzco does this and I just think it's the most adorable thing :) Sweet little guineas
 
Bonnie and caramel have started doing this lately. It's lovely. Unusual at first and then nice. It beats them nibbling on me.
 
Heisenberg will only lick me if he's happy. But he licks everywhere he can. Sometimes he'd rather lick my hands than eat veggies? I think its adorable and he's the only one of my pigs that do it and I love it
