Miffy Bunny

Miffy was to be Smee's wife, he met her last saturday but sadly she became ill on weds & was admitted to the vets as she was passing jelly & no poops. She was discharged today & was eating, drinking, pooping but on meds. Sadly she passed away a few hours later.

Smee & the other bunnies at the shelter are fine at the moment but he cannot come home because the 1st bunny he was going to meet (Holly)became ill the day he was supposed to meet her, she too was passing jelly & was admitted to the vets but passed away 2 days later. At that time it was thought to be a complication of her spay...... that was until Miffy became ill.

Until lab results come back no one knows what it is or wether the 2 were related, the vets said to treat it as contagious & so my Smee cannot come home until they know because i have other bunnies & animals.

Miffy you were such a sweet natured girl, i loved you from the moment i set eyes on you but thought you were a bit big for my boy so chose Holly but fate stepped in.
You will be so sadly missed by all the shelter staff; you'd been there for such a long time & they were so happy for you that you finally had a home, how tragic that it wasn't meant to be :0

I'm so sad that Miffy never got her special forever home, with her lovely husband Smee! Life can be so cruel.

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear about Miffy, Niki. It's awful when you are not sure if it's contagious or not as you can't really take any kind of action about anything can you.
