Hi everyone,
my slave has to go back to work tomorrow. She had 2 weeks off, but now it's time to start earning our cucumbers again.
Can't argue that. But it means that we have to get up really early in the morning again. Of course there is also the upside: No more pigtures being taken, no day time sleep disturbances.

But it could get a little bit boring. So I was thinking about maybe getting a job myself. Then I could buy lino for myself and could also get Ruby's cool magazine.

What do you think?
Of course it would need to be close to home and I would still need to get enough daytime sleep.

I was thinking of a position like head couch potatoe. That would be perfect.
I'm also a great team player. Place me with any other guinea pig and I will be first at eating!

If there is a fast eating competition somewhere I could also bring Bonny. That girl can be afraid of her own shadow at times, but she is the fastest eater I've ever seen. And that is high praise because before she came to live with us, I was the fastest eater in the group.

Of course we could also rent out Odi to get some income. He can tear, rip and shredder any kind of paper in no time at all. And I sure Vicky would be willing to learn this trade since she always tries to copy everthing that Odi does.

So if you hear of anything, please let me know!

Merry, that's a really generous offer! Though it does sound a little bit exhausting. Maybe I'll send Odi around (with a box).

Dear Billie,

We think you could maybe consider doing some light garden maintenance work. If you take the rest of the team along with you, you can get through quite a lot of grass trimming in a morning.

Of course you can only take work from homes with no other pets and you must insist your slave gets you a secure run to work in. But with the combined mowing and fertilising service we think you could be earning big time!

We can't understand why our slaves don't pay us more generously for our efforts in this area. We've even heard some nonsense about not needing many evening veggies because we've stuffed our faces with fresh grass! Ridiculous!

Luckily our slave gives us evening veggies even when we have spent some time outdoors. But most of the time we are indoor piggies.
And I agree that we don't get enough credit for all the work we do around the house or in the garden.

very much opposed to the whole “work” idea. Slaves work, slaves buy veggies, and slaves pick up the poop when they get home. Why upset the balance?

We consider ourselves as a species, Gods. Gods amongst all of these other strange beings and the slaves. Gods don’t need to work.

Whilst we fully respect your work ethic, we do ask you to please reconsider. Nothing is more important than our daily, Godly tasks. Hay is here to be eaten and moulded into tunnels, veggies are here to be gobbled, and we must ensure that we leave enough poops around to keep the slaves well exercised. Just reward the slaves with a few cute popcorns and the occasional zoomie, and they’ll be loyal for life. Trust us, you’ll get your cucumber for simply being so cute. practice those wheeks and you’ll have them slaves eating out of the palm of your paws.

After reading your post I think I have got to sleep over the whole idea and produce a few poops ( well a lot of them probably).

Am still thinking about possibilities how to get my teeth into a piece of lino, but maybe I can get the slave to get Ruby's magazine for us.

I have given the whole job question a lot of thought during the last couple of days and decided to be a stay at home couch potatoe.
Anything else would have been too much of a hassle and would have endangered my beauty sleep.

But I decided to practise looking really cute, so that the slave just can't say no to anything I wish for. :whistle:
I think that's a pretty good plan even if it doesn't guaranteed that I ever get a piece of lino between my teeth.

Dear Billie

Our hooman keeps saying she is going to rent us out as environmentally friendly lawnmowers. Especially as we also provide free fertilizer.

We are quite excited by this idea as next doors lawn looks very lush and we enjoy eating.

This might be a vocation you could consider if you get bored.

Sounds like an interesting job opportunity. But I'm an indoor piggy in my heart. Going outside is nice, but also quite exciting and also sometimes pretty frightening. :eek:
