I feel awful. I was lying on their bedroom floor during their floor time, just enjoying watching them popcorn and chatter to each other. Milan is usually a very laid back and confident piggy but he come walking over to my face, and mustn't have seen me/knew I was there until very close although I didn't move or do anything to scare him. He normally comes to us with no problems and isn't timid at all but this must have really given him a fright. He scattered so quickly under a hidey and just sat there completely still. I thought I would leave him to calm down but after about 15 mins, I tried to give him some veg but he won't eat it. He really is spooked and I'm worried that he could have a heart attack or something :( he's still sat under his hidey and hasn't moved for about half an hour. Any advice?

Wow that's unusual. Um, don't want to give bad advice and do more harm than good. So what does he look like? Eyes wide? I'm wondering if seeing something is suddenly alive triggered some ancestrial response? I'm probably being dumb, but it strikes me as so odd. Maybe just talk softly to him, offer him your hand, some hay. Poor piggy. But don't blame yourself at all. I'm sorry I can't be very helpful, this sort of thing has never happened to me. Good luck with Milan :)

Thankfully he seems to be okay now but was spooked for about an hour. He was just sat completely still with his eyes wide open. You could tell he had a fright because of his posture and the look on his face. Poor boy. But yes, he seems okay now but it really worried me!

Ours go all wide-eyed and you can feel their little hearts racing when they're really frightened, poor things. Glad he's okay! They do freeze when shocked, sometimes when they're eating they hear a new noise and freeze, then get back to munching:P

Nothing stops Smudge from munching...Poppy might be tearing around the pen doing Zoomies, but not Smudge. Not when there are veggies laying about. Oh no.
