Nope milk is not good. They only need water, veggies, hay and pellets. :)

Dairy products are not allowed. :)

Peter Guerney's books say he used to give them milk and brown bread...:{

Peter was great but times do change. My philosophy is if they don't get it in the wild they don't get it at all. :)

Yes I know about the food but they only drink water aswell yes? so, nothing like juice either?

Too much sugar Jon, even sugar free wouldn't be right. You can get carrot juice in Pets at home which we have used but we don't no more. :)

Although I had a budgie that loved lemonade! I was uneducated then though! :red

Ok, so water diet it is! LOL, that's a first lemonade drinking budgie, have you managed to get that story ?

yes its great in the morning acording to the britania plus there is alot of wild cows around where they originally lived. not hard to find drops of milk around there. i used to give it to my GP she liked it. dont know why i stopped

Do you mean you used to give her milk? If so it's a good thing you stopped and I wouldn't recommend you start giving it to her again - guinea pigs should not have meat or dairy products, I assume they can't digest is properly and they're just not supposed to have them.

I'm pretty sure piggies are lactose intolerant. So I wouldn't risk it;)

And in The Really Usefull Guinea Pig Guide it says its a great pick-me-up for poorly pigs..........:{ I still wouldn't risk it tho........

Gps should not have milk or bread.They are lactose intolerant and are herbivores so no dairy product is good for them.

Bread contains salt and other ingredients that they should not have.

LMAO I'm sorry but this is so ridiculous I actually laughed out loud. I have visions of guinea pigs going and suckling from a cow and hanging off its udder. Milk doesn't just fall out of cows into little puddles on the ground that the piggies would lap up. :)):)):)):))
