milky eye

Hi All guineas and owners happy new year to all!

Ive noticed one of my boys has something that looks like milk coming out of his eye, it is only a very small amount and i have only noticed it today is it ok? or is something wrong? he seems his happy usual self with no other problems,

just thought i would ask

Hi I think Milky eye is ok. My skinnies get this. As long as its not an eye infection. hopefully someone with more knowledge will tell you more. x

A milky discharge is just normal lubrication.

Aslong as it isnt there constantly and they dont get a weepy eye, its normal. I had a pig that now and then would get alot of it and his eye would weep, eye drops from the vet sorted this. But a little bit here and there is just their fluid that cleans out their eyes I believe.
