Hi, My two have really milky wee. I know its a sign of high calcium, but this is what they have:

Pellets for breakfast

Everyday for tea - Spring greens / kurley Kale, half a carrot
then dependant on what we have in, either pepper, cucumber, brocoli storks every other day.

Also have 2 hay balls worth of hay (the green posh stuff)

Any advise on what to cut out apprecaited
thanks

I would cut back on the greens. Too many greens can cause upset tummies and I think both cabbage and broccoli contain quite a lot of calcium. I used to give greens every couple of days. Hope this helps.

milkie wee

Hi, I am having trouble at the moment withone of my sows, she has very milkie wee, the vet who keeps her own guineas told me of this web site called "shelled warriors" it is for tortoises but if you look at the Gallery section, it shows you pictures of wild herbs and plants that you would be able to give to your guineas. I do it for my guineas now saves you money and they love you for it. I get a piggy chorus every time i come in with a bag for them, when i put it in their cage i get purrrr from them. Take care. Sharon.

kale is very high in calcium, this should be fed as a treat.

i give mine spring greens 3/4 times a week. Carrot about the same.

cos lettuce can be given daily, other lettuces are to be fed 3/4 times a week.

maybe just try to rotate their diet, i know its so hard with such fussy piggies!
