Is this a sign of stress? I assumed it was in little Patch a few weeks ago as she was covered in mites.

But my Gertie Bertie has now leaked white fluid (looked like tip-ex), but it retracted back into her eye sockets. I was quite shocked as she was sat purring on my lap.

Thanks

This is the piggy equivalent of eye cleaning fluid (like out tears) - if there is a lot, your piggy has been washing something out of their eye.

Don't worry; it's a good sign!

and can i add, some seem to have more than others (from experience of one of my boys who was forever doing it).......if it changes in anyway please see your nearest savvy piggie vet or rodentologist, it could be hay in the eye so always best to check :)

I agree. My piggies secrete this and then take the liquid onto their front paws and give their face a good wash.

This was a great help for me also, I think I had read it somewhere before. My big piggy Robbie has the white milky substance around his eye(s) sometimes but I have never noticed on my other piggy. Thanks for that.

Joy xx;)
