I'm glad she's ok. Is it possible that she's diabetic? It sounds a bit like a hypo that a person would have (I have no idea how diabetes affects guinea pigs though). x
We do not give the piggies fruit and carrot is a rarity as well so it sounds as if her diet is on the right footing anyway.
I think we will monitor her closely but avoid any intervention unless it occurs again.
I read some where that skinny pigs can have minor health issues (internet, I got curious when I first saw one on here), and that they need special care (I'd be tempted to knit her a woolly jumperxoxo).. I'm a bit of a book worm when it comes to pets, I have to know everything, and if a pet's ill, my nose is usually in a book, looking for possiblities:red This goes for my horses too rolleyes
Good plan. Well fingers and paws crossed it was just one of those things and won't happen again. I do like the idea of a little knitted jumper for her.![]()
I am like you too, I have a degree in parasitology so anything to do with animals/health fascinates me and I am always reading research as well as peoples personal experiences![]()
