Sleep well Millie



My beautiful princess who loved a chin rub more than anything, who would scream for a special treat and give finger kisses. My chunky gorgeous girl with the nicest smile and bubba lips. She was far too young and deserved lots more time to flop down, chomp grass and get lots of attention.



Millie was unwell yesterday but with meds had improved and this morning was much brighter and even begging up so I thought she was on the mend. So to come home to this was a shock and I feel so guilty she was alone (and poor Hetty who was shouting when I came in through the door).

I am so very sorry that you have lost your beautiful girl under such dramatic circumstances.

Please try to take consolation that the end must have come very quickly and rather suddenly, caused by something underlying (heart attack?) and that Millie cannot have suffered much or for long. It is not something you could have foreseen or prevented.

Be kind with yourself as you grieve and try to remember Millie in her happy times because they were the ones in your control while her end wasn't. I suspect that even if you had been there, you would not have been able to make any change and you would have likely still found her dead.

My thoughts are with you and with poor Hetty who sounds like she was rather shocked and upset, too, which is why I suspect that what happened at the end has been very sudden and unexpected.
