Hello,i just got my two guinea pigs 2 days ago ,they are really shy and scared ,in the first 24 h i leaved them alone and didn't stress them to much so they could get used to their new cage and everything ,one is more active eating even if i'm in the room (of course in her hinding spot :) ) but the other one i didn't seen her moving or eating yet she's always hiding .this morning i checked her she seems fine but when i touch her she didn't run just stand there terrified.received_2514010285345242.webp

Hello and welcome

You have two gorgeous piggies there! give them time to settle in, they will come round, try offering little bits of veggies x

As they are so cute. Takes time for piggies to settle in and get used to their new homes and people. Just try to get into routines with them and make sure you check out the guides on this site, they're really useful.

I will thank you 🤗

Being paralysed with fear is common to begin with. I got my two little boys in May and the first few days were like that.

Most places advocate leaving them alone for 24 - 48 hours and then starting to bond. I started getting mine out for a bit of lap time every day after that and they soon warmed up and started to grow in confidence. Don’t worry about scaring them too much, as this will be the case until they realise they can trust you and that you’re not going to eat them.

They look super cute! Nothing better than a baby piggie 😍
