Poor little thing, on Sunday morning she was perfectly fine, we went shopping and came back to find her eye like this:

On further investigation, we found a bit of hay poking out, so removed it and bathed the eye etc. She has been to the vets and is on drops and Metacam. The vet put some dye in and confirmed it was definitely ulcerated. We just have to see how it goes over the next few days.

Must be so sore. It's not stopping her doing stuff though, little madam, last night I had a rubbish bag I was using to collect the poos and in it was Nigel's romaine that he hadn't eaten. I heard a rustle turned round and Millie was scarpering across the room with the romaine.

Aw poor little girly, We had exactl the same situation earlier in the year with Minnie, got in noticed her eye looked strange found some hay poking out, removed it (SQUEAL) bathed it and it turned cloudy so i am straight on here for advice and was told the cloudyness is the eye "fixing" itself and was normal then within 2 - 3 days it was perfectly normal again. Hope the Little madam's eye is better soon xx

Poor girl!

Thankfully, eye infections tend to down as quickly as they come on.

My tip is to distract Millie with her favourite food - it's easier to get the gel/drops in when their attention is elsewhere. The first few times are worst as long as the eye is painful, but from then on it will get easier.

Poor Millie, hope her eye gets better soon. My piggie Phoebe seems to have a bad eye every now and again. We did take her to the vets but they didn't seem too bothered about it.
