When I am not in I bet Milo gets really lonely so I think he needs a mate to play with. Does any one know any guinea pig rescue centres in greater Manchester. I have had a look at the Small paws rescue centre online but you can only rescue them in pairs and I only want one more ?

Thanks Natalie and Milo :) xx

Have you posted a wanted ad in the rehome section?:)

Also sometimes people will organise a piggy train, where they help transport a piggy that is being rehomed from various parts of the country so a rescue pig might not necessarily have to be from a local rescue.

Good luck xx

Also, if you contact Small Paws they might know of a single piggy looking for a friend, just like Milo is. Most rescues will rehome single piggies so long as they are to be paired with another one. Failing that - Piggy train!

Most rescues will try their best to find a new companion for a single boar who is looking for a friend, but you will not always find them in the ready for adoption section, as guinea pigs to new owners are only rehomed as pairs or trios.

It is worth contacting all rescues within your reach to find the one where you ideally can take Milo for a spot of "boar dating".

You may also like to email nutmeg in Warrington or Helen (Hels) in Gretna whether Sokel or Becklen rescue have something suitable for Milo as well. They do have quite a few piggies between them and can shift them between fosterers. http://www.sokelguineapigrescue.com/

Hi there, I am in Manchester as well, whereabouts are you? I live in Stretford :) Don't forget there is also the option of neutering Milo so he can have a girlfriend :)

I grew up in Salford :)

Good luck finding Milo a friend. I live in Bolton these days, but I have just recently adopted a Becklen piggie too ;)
