yep its official, I have tried to give them the option of muesli or burgess and end up throwing the burgess away as they wee in it rolleyes then I found this on zooplus http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/small_pets/food/guinea_pig/jr_farm/178336 and I then offered them the choice of three - well they like this stuff, just not as much as the muesli.

I think that I will do is give the bag of burgess to the rspca where flash came from, its only a small bag but its better than it being thrown. I have to return the indoor cage I borrowed incase flash was rejected by the girls but as its 2 weeks nearly and he is very much part of the gang, I can give them back the cage, I will drop off the food too.

I dont give them lots of the grainless complete food but as its a nugget I like that will help them keep their teeth down as well as be good for them. Its not a huge bag either but a handfull each time I think is fine.

Thank you, I have a huge 15kg bag of muesli to work through as it was the only type of food I could get hold of through my friends business (hence why I wanted to support my friend and the piggies). I brought the burgess in the hope to offer them a choice of two, as like I say nuggets are better for their teeth - they have wood chews in their that they use as well. But I wasnt expecting them to turn their noses up at the burgess when others have raved about the food (but then my guys love aubergine so each pig is different).

I will take you up on your offer when I have used up more of the zooplus bag.

All 3 of mine really like this http://www.chemistdirect.co.uk/wagg-optimum-guinea-pig_1_49164.html
it works out at £15 when you add P&P on, you can get a smaller bag too which is £2.99 for 2.5kgs but of course not so reasonable when you add on P&P.
If you are interested I could send you a sample?

Mine love that too, I've tried different pellets before but they seem to prefer the Wagg, I buy it in Asda and it's 3.54, but is currently 3.50 on offer in Tesco (my pound sign isn't working for some reason), I buy the small bags, just for storage ease really, but a bag that size lasts my four boys about 2.5-3 weeks

hi, my guinea pigs has started turning their nose up at burgess too, ive been mixing in woodland food and forage from Pets At Home and they LOVE it. It does have some alphalpha pellets in it, but not enough to be fattening

Grrrrr absolutely none around here sell it which is why I've ended up buying the 10kg bags online. Storage is a pain though like you say.

Peppa, can you list the percentage of Calcium: phosphate on the back of the grainless food pack and the ingredients if you wouldn't mind wondering if it would be better for Patrick.

(had to adapt the herb cu.min as the filter thought I was being rude. I think by cube they mean diced as its translated from german on the packet but I have quoted word for word, zooplus have put it slightly better.
