Should I be allowing my guinea pigs to have mineral stones?

I've been looking on the list of what we can give them to eat, which I'm slowly going through the list on different days of food.

Thanks

They are not necessary at all with a good balanced diet and you will find that most piggies will simply ignore them!

Fresh herbs like coriander/cilantro, parsley, dill, basil, fennel and mint are a much nicer source of minerals. Coriander is the one herb that you can feed daily. A sprig or two is sufficient!

hi thanks for the reply, It's typical I saw the thread that it may give the guinea pigs upset bellys with mineral stones cos they been taking interest in it now :( I have Alfalfa seeds I brought for myself awhile ago though I wondered if they are allowed that to eat the seeds?
