Hi TGPF, our two boys, Bluebear and Walker, ended up having a little tussle this afternoon - Walker has sustained a small scratch on his nose, which isn't bleeding; we have disinfected the scratch with a saline solution, and they both seem to be behaving for now. We have checked them both over for wounds on their rump, ears, nose and neck and the only one we have identified is Walker's nose scratch.

What do we do now? Advice would be appreciated.

Bluebear is approx. 1y 6m
Walker is approx. 7m

Photo of the scratch is attached.

Hello and welcome. As Walker is 7 months old he is right in the middle of his teenage months. They have hormone spikes so he’s probably going through that at the moment. It can cause upset between bonds. I would keep a very close eye on them to make sure he’s calmed down. If things are still tense between them you can separate them for a day or two and then reintroduce them on neutral territory. Hopefully they will go back together. Make sure you have two of everything, bottles, bowls, piles of hay and hides, so they can’t argue over anything. All hides need to have two exits so one piggy can’t get trapped by the other. I hope they settle down and get back to normal.

Hi both - We have them both with doubles of everything, and they seem to have proper calmed down, which is good; thank you both for the advice!
