Mint Makes Barney Pull A Funny Face

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Both Barney and Toby like mint, Toby eats his without problem but whenever Barney first tries to eats it he pulls a funny face. His head turns to the right and he acts almost as if he has something stuck in his molars. It looks like an Elvis impersonation gone wrong. Or as if something was tickling his face. He then wipes that side of his face with his paw and then tries the mint again. The same thing happens. This is before the mint has even touched his lips.

Eventually, on about the third attempt he will successfully get the mint into his mouth where it vanishes in the blink of an eye. This happens every time he is given mint so it isn't just a one off.

I have never seen anything so odd and was just wondering if anyone else knew what was going on?
 
ahh that sounds sooo cute, can you video it? would love to see it :)
mine i dont think i've ever given them mint... don't know why....think i'll have to try it now, see what reaction i get :)
 
Does it happen with any other herb? Coriander? Parsley etc... or maybe spinach as the leaves are same size ish...
 
I've suggested coriander, mint & parsley to the OH, would love to see my Piggies reactions!
Any idea where I can get some?
 
Nope - he doesn't do it for anything other than mint. I will try to get a film of it tomorrow - it happens so fast I cant photograph it.

Mine love parsley, basil, coriander and dill as well - I just get them from the supermarket
 
Lol some of mine are the same, eating it like its hot, it's hilarious. If it tastes that bad why eat it lol.
