I work at the co-op while I'm on my uni holidays and i picked up some bargains today. I got them some Parsley (i know not too feed this too often due to its high calcium), Basil, mint and watercress. I am just wondering if they are able to eat freshmint and watercress as i havent given it them before? Thanks
 
some of mine like mint, but duke doesnt like anything that smells strong i once offered him a mint leaf and he backed away from it then ran! lol

I have never tried mine with mint ... I grow my own so I could cut it nice and fresh.

But judging from my experience with my home-grown corindar where my piggies ran away because of the smell, I wonder what they reaction might be to the mint.

Do many members feed mint to their piggies?

Wow really? Mine go mad for coriander. I grow my own too.

I feed my lot mint along with other herbs :)
 
My old boar also runs away from anything with a strong odour, my others will eat anything that stays still but King is very much the Alf Garnett of the guinea world he turns away from all fruits except apple and basically only wants his greens carrots and corn he won't even eat pepper the only herb he will tolerate is parsley
 
well the piggies had a dose of mint and they loved it :D Ill be getting more of that.They didnt particularly like watercress though..
