I gave no idea how to start this off, but my guinea pig Lola, got a misshapen nail.

It does not look normal and I have no idea how it happened, one day it was normal and the other it became weird

I really have no idea what I'm supposed to do because i dont know if its a big problem

Pardon me for the poor photo quality i couldnt get a better one because she kept moving

It is the innermost nail, instead of being hollow on the bottom, it started being filled up with the same stuff that the rest of the nail is. Now its very fat and big at the base and i have no idea whats happening and how to fix it

Please help!

Hi

Thickened nails can happen and won't impede mobility; they don't need any intervention. Sometimes they are caused by fungal when they start having funny growths - which yours is not showing.

I was so worried no I know its not to be worried about, thank you so much!

We are a friendly community with a supportive ethos and we will answer any question in a friendly and constructive way because we are aware that there is a caring and worried owner at the other end, no matter whether that is a question you would not dare ask anywhere else but would like to know. ;)
