ok so some of you may know that my latest edition, honey, has had to go to the vets as she has an absess and she is only 7 weeks old.

well i took her to the vets this morning and now the anti and pro biotics are not working she will have to have an operation tommorow morning! the vt has kept her in overnight but I'm really worried and missing her. i was just short of crying when i had to leave her and she gave a massive 'please dont leave me here' squeek too which made it all the more worse!

please send lots of love to little honey as I'm sure she is very frightened and scared and missig her playmates terribly xx

Aww i hope that the op goes well for her and try not to worry too much, i know its hard but I'm sure that she is in good hands with your vet.

I too found it hard to leave my boys at the vets when one of them went for xray, i did cry in the car on the way home as i was so worried. Just give her lots of cuddles when she comes home and have plenty of nice hay/treats on hand. Maybe if you very worried that she is lonely phone the vets and ask if you friend can stay with her overnight? Both of mine stayed for the day when Gizmo had his xray as they hate being apart.

Sending healings vibes for little Honey. x x x

BIG HUG

I can fully understand how heartbreaking it is having to leave your little girl at the vets to have an op tomorrow. But I'm also sure that she will have all the nurses cooing over her and taking extra care!

Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Poor you and Honey.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Post an update when you can.

Thinking of you

Aww...must be very hard to leave your baby there..Fingers crossed for the op. and sending you some "feel better" (((((((((((((((((((((vibes)))))))))))))))))))))) Get better honey! x

thank you all so much for your messages. i will keep you updated as i have to phone the vets in a min anyway xx

Update!

little honey is finally home with me. she had an enclosed absess so it didnt get into her bloodstream thank god! she was really groggy thanks to the meds and the nurse really didnt handle her well and frightened her loads when she was at her most vunrable which i am fuming about, she then had the cheek to say 'shes a very scared pig but shes a baby so time to tame' lucky mum was with me and came out very courtly ' she is very happy being handled by us!'

when i got her home i wrapped her up in a really soft fleece blanket and mum gave her some home grown lettuce, beetroot leaves and parsley and after about half an hour she wae tucking in happily.

i put her in the indoor cage so that she could have some peace from my other two and that her risk of infection is greatly reduced from not being outdoors. by the time i popped her in the cage she had perked up quite a bit but when she got in the cage she dashed into the hay and has stayed there since ( unless she has been out whilst we have been in the living room watching the tv, we have just heard a huge squeak for such a little piggy!- she is in the dining room as there is room for her there and she can see the garden)

i really hope she is going to be ok but thank you all for your messages it really means alot to us. hugs from me and honey xx

I am glad that little Honey has come through the op and is hopefully recovering well. It may take a couple of days until her body has settled and is starting to heal up.

That's great news that she has come through the op ok. I'm sure she'll be feeling fab soon with all the tlc you're giving her. :)

Great news, I'm so glad that she is home with you and I'm sure with your cuddles and love she will be back to her normal self in no time.

Great news! Well done to you mum for being so assertive! Hopefully Honey will be back with her friends soon!

just to keep you all updated honey is recovering really well so munch so that the vet doesnt want to see her again unless she becomes sick again! she has gone back to her usual self already, busy squeaking to go out on the grass with the others and being a little houdini when i cuddle her. she looks really funny without her ruff though but it will grow back soon enough xx

What wonderful news! I really hope that she continues that way and can concentrate on being a busy youngster full of life again!
