So one of my guinea pigs bean has broke both bottom teeth off very close to base iff not below the gum. I have found he can eat pieces of food that are very small but he seems stressed and makes a weird noise when eating. I'm also worried about him choking. I have a vet app on friday as I'm worried incase other issues arise. We think they came out when he was chewing something but not 100%sure and we cant find the teeth :( any advice?

@AwkwardDuck Try not to worry, they're more likely to have come out than go in and be swallowed. And you're keeping an eye on him so if there is an issue you'll catch it and whizz him off to the vet. He won't choke as he still has his back teeth to chew food up before he swallows it.

They adapt quite well to missing teeth and they grow back quite quickly. You should see signs of them in a week. He won't need the top ones trimming as they'll right themselves when they grow and it can cause more problems for them if their top teeth are cut shorter.

He might need a hand with his veg, so chop things into thin slices or little cubes and he should be fine.

He might be making a different noise because he's having to eat differently.
