Missing Guinea Pig

Just yesterday I left my piggies in their play pen to take a shower. When I returned one guinea pig was missing while the other had climbed back into her cage.

I’m extremely bewildered by this. My family and I have carefully searched through our house multiple times. (Under couches, behind various furniture, etc) It’s now been over 24 hours since she’s gone missing and I’m out of ideas. I’ve set around multiple bowls of food for her. I’ve released my other guinea pig to lure her out. I’ve taken a plastic bag and rustled it in all the rooms, hoping for a reply.

Not only that but I’ve haven’t seen a single trace of the food being touched (I placed it last night) or her waste anywhere. Please suggest ways I can find her.
 
Do you have any other animals that could have harmed her? Leave a box out with hay good etc in the room she escaped in maybe she will return. I would turn every room upside down 1 at a time
 
Could she have got under floorboards or squeezed through a gap to get outside? It might be worth trying outside, or into a cupboard or bit of furniture. Check inside cupboards as well, there might have been one open and closed without realizing she's inside.
Could an animal have got into your house? A fox, snake or a large bird for example? (Sorry I don't know what country you're in to know how likely this is)
It is a real mystery as piggies aren't usually known for being escape artists and they are quite big to just vanish. I really hope you find her soon.

The floor board? :hmm: How does one get under there.
 
You'd be surprized at how small a gap they can squeeze in. My piggies have been known to get into 2 inch gaps, so check under any chairs and back of units as she may be stuck and not able to get out
 
Hi, I can only echo what others have said on here. My late Pedro was a big piggy but could somehow squeeze into what seemed like very small gaps, and emerge again unharmed! Have you found her, is she OK? Xx
