hello!

I have had my two Guinea pigs Lily and Flower, for two weeks now. About a week ago I noticed one of them had a small area where it looked like she itched it and it bled a little. I put some neosporin on it and she left it alone and it healed up practically overnight. But the thing that I don't get is shown in the attached picture. So the scab healed all up, but where it was at, she's missing more hair? It's not red or inflamed looking. She's not itching it. She's acting normal and eating and drinking normal. And my other Guinea pig hasn't had any skin problems.
So I'm just wondering if anyone would know why the hair didn't grow back but seemed to make a bigger area of no hair instead?

Hi! I would strongly recommend to have it checked by a vet. It could be either from mange mites or ringworm; neither of which is uncommon in shop guinea pigs, but need different and good quality treatment. 0
The spray has unfortunately made it more difficult for your vet to disagnose, but it will not do the trick, and neither will low dosed wide spectrum shop products. You may be able to reclaim the vet cost if you present a diagnosis/vet bill with your sales receipt to the shop. Please do not treat on spec, as you can easily make things worse instead of better!

We have got a recommended UK vets locator on the top bar, but can provide a link to recommended vets in other countries.

Here is our ringworm hygiene guide: Ringworm: Hygiene And Pictures
Mange mites are invisible to the naked eye. They need full high dosed ivermectin course of 3-4 applications or ideally injections at the product specific interval of 10-14 days to clear the mange mites fully and prevent a comeback.
