We are currently getting a new kitchen and our house is very noisy and dusty and we have no washing machine. So our piggies are boarding with The Guinea Collected until it is finished, which could be three weeks. I know that Paul and Keith care for them as well as we do and they will get lots of love, i also get photos or videos every day but i miss them. The house seems so empty, no wheeking greets us when we get back from our morning run or arrive home from work and there are no happy piggy faces looking for their coriander fix.

I don't think either of us imagined, when we got our first piggies only 14 months ago, that they would become such a big part of our lives.

Aw, sending hugs to you, it’s amazing just how much they become part of the family. It’s lovely to get up in a morning and be greeted by those lovely little faces stood at the bars “feed me”

I am sure they are missing you too. It is always hard without them. I am sure they are being well looked after.

I’ve been away from home for an extended period recently and missed my 3 furry friends immensely, so I know just how you feel. Just focus on how fabulous it will be with a new kitchen AND the piggies back in the house. Awesome thoughts to keep you going x

I miss my piggies and I’ve only been away from them for 7 hours so goodness knows how you must be feeling! Sometimes I look at pictures of mine when I miss them lol. Have the boarders sent you any pictures of your piggies?

Is the white and orange one yours? She looks exactly like Luna. Your piggies are so cute :luv:
They are all mine, the white and orange piggy is Peggy. We also have two skinny pigs Dora and Ginger.

Aw what lovely piggies not wonder you miss them Yvonne! Still it won't be long and they will be back with you.:)
Fingers crossed, things are ahead of schedule at the moment and the new floor is going in tomorrow. So it may be finished by the end of next week except for the painting. As the piggies live upstairs we should be able to get the painting done once they are home.

I remember when Comet and Blitzen first went to Cavy Corner and my flat felt so...empty. I heard every pipe and floorboard creak, every slight noise, and it felt really weird. You don't realise just how much they're there in the background until they're suddenly gone. Here's hoping they can be back next week!

I know i probably should just be feeling grateful that i can have a new kitchen and also be in a position to have someone else care for my piggies. It is just weird going home and the house being so quiet. There is normally wheeking and then them running up and down the ramps and the water bottle ratttling and the continued destruction of the carrot cottage.
I am going to visit them at the weekend, so will get piggy overload as the Guinea Collected also have 6 gorgeous piggies of their own.

I do hope that one day soon you will be in a position to give a loving home to some more piggies of your own. If not you are more than welcome to come and visit mine.

I may just take you up on that someday :) but don't forget the scuffles when someone yoinks the wrong piece of veg, or the "laughter" when someone does their zoomies straight into the cage bars again!

You would be very welcome to visit. Just message me if you would like to pop over. We live just north of the city centre.

I know how you feel, I miss my piggies when I go on holiday. I miss them so much have started to plan holidays so that they can come with us.
Hope your kitchen is finished soon and your piggies are back with you.xx

Yay - the kitchen should be finished this week. Hopefully we will be able to bring our little herd home at the weekend. Just can't wait to have them back. :DUnfortunately i'm away with work next week so won't be able to spend much time with them. :(

Hope the new kitchen is worth the sacrifice of not having the piggies around
I hope so. Our old kitchen was 25 years old and was starting to fall apart. The new one is more piggy friendly, no gaps and a grippy floor to do zoomies on.
I can't wait to have them back. :luv:

Yay! Lots of piggy cuddles! I bet they’re happy to be home. Hope your kitchen has turned out good and that new fridge has been put to good use :))
