missing my piggy boys!

My boys have gone to a boarding facility as we are off on holiday tomorrow and I really miss them8.... They are my first pets since I was a kid. Missed them wheeking for their veggies tonight and coming up to the edge of their cage to greet me. Know they will be well looked after but didn't think I would miss them this much!
 
As much as I enjoy our weekends away and my family visits to Switzerland, I always miss my piggies... Not easy to leave them in the care of other people!

I admire people who go away :)
We have 20 nomsters here and I am almost grieving when I go to work so know I'd be useless boarding them out...
We sold our beloved static caravan this year as I wouldn't spend time there without the piggies, lost count of how many invitations to go abroad we've turned down (my partner is from Denmark) I'm amazed he puts up with me !
Have two weeks off from work now and am so excited to be home with my bubbas all day - reckon I'm a bit 'odd' so am in awe of others who holiday and sometimes wish I could ease off a bit...
 
I don't reckon you're daft at all. My sister has asked me to go and dog, cat, hamster and house sit while she goes to Cornwall for Christmas. I said yes but only if I can bring the boys with me. Of course there was no problem she will come and collect me and them in their cage which will fit in my nieces old bedroom with room to spare. I couldn't bear the thought of having someone else looking after them no matter how kindly they offered. I know I could trust my friend to make sure they were ok but...
 
I'm the same. When my pigs are taken to Grandmas I really miss them.
 
I worried about leaving mine for one night - have no idea how I would cope if I went on holiday. I don't trust many people to look after them, I see them as more then pets.
