I have just been cuddling Connie and Eliza and have noticed that Connie has a mi nute piece of her ear missing :0 I am so shocked and concerned that Eliza could have bitten her as sometimes she nips Connie's ears and makes her cry :( It doesn't look sore or anything but still :( Has anyone else every experienced this problem?

quite a few of the piggies come in with odd ears, one in particular looks like a piece of a jigsaw puzzle! Just keep an eye on the two girls to make sure no real nasty fighting is going on.As long as the cut is clean and healing I wouldnt worry too much. x

Just check and make sure there is no possibilty of fungal on the ears too, it looks like a dusting of talcum powder, this can erode the ear making it look jagged. Chances are it was a nip and it happened a fair while ago. Daisy- Boo has a nip out of her ear by Mimi rolleyes

George my piggy came with a big chunk of ear missing but it was healed up so ok, think another piggy must have munched on it when he was a baby poor thing!

Yours could be the same & you hadn't noticed it took me a couple of weeks to notice george's!

Oh gosh we've got some really nibbled ones here - a sow that came in a few weeks ago has got real chunks out of hers, poor thing! They do seem to heal ok though. Babies also often nibble mum's ears!

My Maisey has a little chip like cut out at the end one of her ears. I am sure i did not buy Maisey like that, i think Cookie bit it. :/

yes we also get a lot of rips and tears on the rescues.one also came in with only one ear as it had been eaten by the boar when he was born.doesnt seem to cause them any trouble once healed over

All my rescue piggies all have little squares missing from their ears and some raggedy edges. Dexter's are mostly okay but then he was a pet store pig.
