Hi all

I am hoping someone can give me some advice I have 2 boys Fred and Barney. Everyday I give them a check over ... yesterday while giving Barney his check over when I went to check the penis it woulnd't extend. I thought that perhaps I wasn't pressing the right spot as its quite difficult most days as he doesn't like it I would try again today. But no luck today either nothing seems to happen. I know that it wouldn't just disappear I was wondering if this has happend to anyone else?

Sorry this has never happened here and like you said It can't have vanished but boys being yucky as they are maybe it's sticky and a wash would help (trying so hard to be polite and tactful here ) Hope you know what I mean:)

Yeah I know what you mean! I will give that a go this afternoon... Thank you

His penis may just need a wash to free it from "debris." If it doesn't appear after he's had a wash i would take him to the vets for a check over.
I don't want to worry you but Debbie (furryfriends) had a piggy, Snap; his penis wouldn't appear & sadly it turned out to be a tumour - although her vet hadn't seen anything like it before.

Yes, please get it checked if you are at all uncertain. As Niki has said, my Piggy Snap had a tumour, which had basically destroyed the penis. It is obviously a very rare condition, as my vet sees guinea pigs in his clinic every day, as he specialises in cats, rabbits and piggies, and he had never seen anything like it before. I'm sure this isn't the problem with your piggy, but worth getting the vet to check it out.
