Missing Treacle..

Despite the new arrival, I find myself pining for Treacle.. I found a video tonight, taken a week before she was pts, of her singing for her tea :'( God, I miss hearing her voice, she was the loudest at tea time

I still miss my Shelly, the husky dog I had to have pts back in 1990. Although I had other dogs before & after, she was the only one I had to make the pts decision for & it still beaks my heart.

I had to get my dog axle pts 6 years ago.Have two now but miss him like crazy.Had to have my texel piggy pts last year and since then have taken on another 3 to bring my total to eight and still.miss my fizzy pop.She was very special.Give yourself time

Aw bless you, you've lost a family member and the new arrival doesn't take away the feeling of loss. I found it hard to bond with one of mine in the past who had come to replace a lost piggie as I almost resented her being there instead of the one I lost. Daft, as I know the surviving piggie needed a companion, but I felt no joy and excitement like I would for any normal new pet, just a feeling of being disloyal to the one who'd died. It does get easier in time, just remember Treacle at her best and most beautiful and not as she was at the end. Big hugs x

Thanks guys, finding videos all the time of her, I'm always trying to catch them whilst they're up to high jinks. A couple of the most recent ones were only a week or so before she fell ill, it's hard to believe she deteriorated so fast
