Adult Guinea Pig
Just over 4 weeks ago,little Bumble died in my arms after a very fast illness - possible pneumonia and or heart failure. He went from his normal self to gone in less than 48 hours and it has been a real shock. But I wanted to share some good memories from his time with us.
He went to @pig in the city in October 2015 with his best friend Ozzy. Ozzy had a few health problems so they needed to stay in the rescue for Ozzy to recover for a while. But after they were both fit to rehome, they were over looked for some reason. I helped advertise them on here but still not much interest - so they came to live with me in my piggies room as long term fosters in May 2016.
I was thrilled with them - such great characters. Bumble was an instant hit with my children.
What was most striking though was the bond with Ozzy - I have had a few boar pairs now but these two were really close - never falling out. No major difference in heirarchy - Bumble probably brighter than Ozzy but Ozzy much bigger - such good makes though. Bumble is the little black one with white 'crown' - we called him Prince Bumble
He was little but fast and full of fun. He did amazing zoomies and was happiest in a massive pile of hay.
We really miss him coming to the front of the cage to see what is going on. He was always physically small, and looking back he may have had an underdetected heart issue - we will never know. More pics will follow if photobucket allows grrr.
