I am delighted to say that I now have two rescue guinea pigs (sows) from Palace piggie rescue;

Home

The rescue is well run, clean and tidy with lots of lovely guinea pigs for adoption. They clearly know what they are talking about with regards to care of guinea pigs, their feeding and health issues.

Mistletoe (cream with a white blaze) is slightly shyer than her sister Jingle (orange with a teeny bit of white on top of her fountain on hair).

Aww don't hide Mistletoe, you are just as pretty as your sister :wub::wub:

I just wish that they loved to sit for hours out in the open whilst I gazed lovingly at them! Jingle has already taken a baton of carrot from my fingers (pokes head out of hay mountain, snatches carrot, retreats back into the hay) she is a lot bolder than Mistletoe. Both will stay put when I open the door and talk to them esp. as I usually offer some kind of edible treat, corriander, carrot and apple so far.

I am very pleased with their progress.

My collie, Tass barks like mad whenever they move or wheek. I gently ask her to go out of the room. She will soon learn. G.pigs are shut in the dining room at night and if I am out.

Thanks vicky and laila. They are beauties arent they? Yes mjg it has been such a long wait. Soooooo woth it. I am smitten

Cant get the pink hearts to appear. They are there in the draft but vanish once posted ...

So so beautiful ! Would you consider having more ? Or just two? I would LOVE more pigs but I have two entire males and don't want to end up with thousands ... well I wouldn't mind but think my other half would

MJG I am definately stopping at two. I have over reached myself with pets in the past and know when to stop now!

Dorothy, so so so so worth it. Thank you Kylie, I am so in love with them.

They had their third ever lap time today. I just let them sit and hide in my hoodie (unzipped). Jingle actually explored a tiny bit, going into her strawberry hide (used for transporting them) and out again, hiding her head in my armpit. Mistletoe just sat very very still.

They are both so so gorgeous.

Just caught up with this! Sorry I missed it, I am so pleased you have finally got your piggies, you have been so patient!

They are STUNNING :drool::drool::drool::drool::drool: You are going to be a fab piggy slave! Hope to see lots more of these little ladies in this section! x

Another laptime today. They are just so sweet but still (unsurprisingly) not great fans of being held. Are more relaxed about being picked up thankfully.

Cant blame you there Chesca I am rather drawn to cute fluffiness. Hahaha Mamphers, I nearly passed out with cute when I first saw a picture of Mistletoe on the rescues website. They are both fantastically soft to touch and dont seem to get matted at all.

Both will happily eat in front of me (in their cage) and Jingle often dozes underneath her yellow footstool.

Mistletoe is a little shyer but will stay put when I put food in front of her.
