Junior Guinea Pig
After Mitch realest a lot of gas from no where. I give him grape water and parsley to help him if it was bloat. There was no other signs of build up of gas. But I couldnt help but think he wasnt 100%. I kept thinking I am sure hes not eating as much as he should. So I weighed him today and he was 800g hes a light weight guinea pig but not that light. So I rang the vet to be on the safe side. I have been manic with work all week. So I was trying to tell myself I was being paranoid. But today I thought I have to take him So off we went at 5.40pm.
My vet was concerned. She said his belly is very quiet no signs of movement. Which means hes not eaten. She too said his weight is to light. She couldnt see his teeth cos his mouth was full of food. She cleaned it out but still could see. She suspects a stomach infection give him meds meticam 4drops and syprin 0.7 twice a day. She told me to give him grass and if he doesnt eat that we are in trouble. And I will need to syringe feed him. She said you need to get him in the house to live.
We got home. Hes in the house and as eaten the grass I give him and took 5ml of syringe feed from me easy. Hes been drinking and chewing some hay.
We have to go back on Monday at 4.50pm. Please send healing vibes to my Mini Moo.
